I carried her picture around with me, drawing her, tracing her and wondering about her. What lines she carries in her face! And then one night I “got it” and put her face in this mountain. I think she belongs there.

This old farm was tucked into the edge of the forest on the Olympic Peninsula of Washington state. Decades of resting in the Rain Forest have given the buildings a sense of being in the right place.
