My husband often states that if an item doesn’t keep moving, I will paint on it. This is but one example – this is a piece of window screen that just had to have my English Cottage painted on it.

- I fell in love with painting in the fall of 2000. My friend had to drag me to the painting class. I always protested that I did not have an artistic bone in my body but something magical happened when I got that paintbrush in my hand. I have taken many painting classes since and continue to be in love with the art form. I find that I tend to paint in a series of landscapes, usually painting two or three or perhaps 10 or 12 paintings of the same subject. Mostly I have painted old barns and buildings but am starting to expand into mountains, which I can see from my window and I am finding flowers flowing from my fingers. Most times I just sit back and watch what my hands have to paint and often it is not what my head thought I was going to work on.
