Polynesian Paradise
Framed
$843.00
16 x 12 acrylic on canvas board
Painted in 2004
I had such fun learning how to paint water to “flow”. My nephew stood in the river and photographed this for me. I love the way the fog envelopes the background hills.
I fell in love with painting in the fall of 2000. My friend had to drag me to the painting class. I always protested that I did not have an artistic bone in my body but something magical happened when I got that paintbrush in my hand. I have taken many painting classes since and continue to be in love with the art form.
I find that I tend to paint in a series of landscapes, usually painting two or three or perhaps 10 or 12 paintings of the same subject. Mostly I have painted old barns and buildings but am starting to expand into mountains, which I can see from my window and I am finding flowers flowing from my fingers. Most times I just sit back and watch what my hands have to paint and often it is not what my head thought I was going to work on.
